Our School Values

During their time at Bourton Meadow, children gain an in-depth understanding of our values and what they mean in practice. They are able to identify when they are showing these values, explain their importance and how to apply them in different situations.

At Bourton Meadow we provide learning experiences that enable all children to fulfil their whole potential, both academically and as successful citizens, to enable them to make a positive contribution to the wider world.

In order to achieve success, our curriculum has to be responsive and therefore bespoke to the children in the school today.

We use our knowledge of the children - their backgrounds and experiences - to evaluate the areas in which they excel and, in doing so, identify the areas in which they require more support to be able to fulfil their whole potential. These areas are identified by a value – simplified to single words so that children can engage with them more easily.

Our curriculum is tailored to ensure that learning across all subjects supports children’s development in these values.
