Our Curriculum Provision

At Bourton Meadow we have 5 Sports Coaches who support the children in providing 2 hours of compulsory PE/Games per week.

We offer a range of activities to suit all abilities including:

  • Net and Wall
  • Invasion
  • Tackling 
  • Gymnastics 
  • Dance 
  • Striking and Fielding 
  • Athletics 
  • Outdoor and adventurous activities 
  • Multi-Skills sports 

‚ÄčTo take part in PE it is imperative that all children have a FULL PE kit in school at all times to include:

NB: For children with a verruca, it is recommended that a specialist gymnastics shoe is worn.  This will enable them to use the fixed equipment, as the sole of the shoe is flexible enough to grip the floor and apparatus.  An example of this type of shoe can be seen by clicking this link Gymnastic Shoe

Our Extra Curricular Provision

Here at Bourton Meadow we believe in offering a huge variety of lunchtime and after school clubs for your child to take part in. There is something to suit everyone, whether they want to develop an existing skill or try something new - no matter their ability.

We are now offering lunchtime clubs for all classes within the school tailored to their abilities, as well as elite development squads in order to develop specific talents for competitions.

Our Funding

The Government have provided the academy with additional funding which allows us to provide quality lessons and after school clubs to enhance the sports provision at Bourton Meadow. In addition, this funding has allowed us to recruit two new members of staff that have been fully trained in delivering Primary Games and PE.
