We value the important role parents play in their children’s learning. You can help your child though regularly reading together and giving them real life maths experiences such as handling money and working with time. Please see your child’s year group page for more specific ways in which you can help your child.

National Curriculum Levels
ParentMail
In a bid to reduce our costs and the amount of paper we use in school we will be moving towards a paper less environment from September 2010. This will mean that we will use your email addresses to inform you of any news and vital information instead of sending pieces of paper home in book bags which are often lost on the way home!
ParentMail has already been used to send out booking forms for Activ8tors and many parents have already expressed a wish that more emails are sent instead of vast quantities of paper being used. This means that we have already reduced, and will continue to reduce the amount of paper and ink we use at Bourton Meadow.
We would like to thank the 575 parents who have already signed up for the service and hope that we can add more of you as the term progresses. If you haven't already signed up for this service please download the ParentMail form and return to the school office as soon as possible.
The Friends of Bourton Meadow
We understand that parents play a huge part in making the school successful. We always welcome any input and ideas which on aspect of school life. We regularly hold events to help raise money for the school and various different charities.
Here are some ways in which you can help the school today:
- Join the Friends of Bourton Meadow group and get involved with other parents organising and running fundraising events click here
- If you buy online, please have a look at this site and go via www.buy.at/bourtonmeadow lots of retailers are on this site and we get commission from every order you place.
- Any and all old printer cartridges can be given in at the school office for recycling and we receive cash back
- Any vouchers from supermarkets and cereal packets are collected at the school office and used for equipment in school. Everything from sports to computers.
School uniform
School uniform can now be ordered from a local supplier via the school office. You can download the order forms and drop your order directly into the school office. Order Form
Return completed forms to the school office along with your payment. Please note that uniform can still be obtained directly from John Lewis in Milton Keynes either by visiting the store or calling them directly.
